Kids Lunch: Yakity-Yak Sandwich

Yakity-Yak…Please come back!!

A yak popped into my mind and I just had to come up with a way to create it.
I’m positive that your kids will love him as a snack or for lunch!!

Take a slice of bread and smear peanut butter (or cream cheese) on it.  Peel and core an apple. Cut it into wedges.  Use 2 wedges to create the horns, and then grate the rest of the apple for the hair.  Arrange the apple “hair” on the bread, completely covering the entire slice.  Cut 2 chunks of carrot and place chocolate chips (or raisins, or quartered olives) on top for the eyes.  Use a vanilla wafer (not the mini) for the snout and put 2 chocolate chips (or raisins, or quartered olives) in the middle of the wafer for the nostrils.  I used a red fruit snack for the tongue. You could also use a red M&M, or a red goldfish.  Use your imagination!!!  There you have it.  Isn’t he just adorable?!?
