ECHIDNA NUMMIE

Cut an apple in  half.  Cut out the core.  Place one half peel side up on a plate.  Spread peanut butter, or anything sticky, onto the outside of the apple. Sick on marshmallows for the spikes.  Two pretzel sticks for his “beak” and raisins for his nose and eyes.

INTERESTING FACTS

3. When threatened they curl up in to a spiny ball.
4. A baby echidna is called a “puggle” and is born hairless and blind.
5. An Echidna can have a short beak or a long beak with a long sticky tongue to eat ants and termites.
