SPRING FLOWER

~ Boiled Egg ~ Celery ~ Carrot ~ Beet Juice ~

CLICK BELOW FOR MORE INFO
Take a shelled boiled egg and soak it in beet juice for natural coloring.  You can also use regular food coloring for any color you want.  After you get the color you want, cut the egg in half and set aside the yolk.  Cut the rest of the egg into slices for the petals.  Use half of the yolk for the center.  Pieces of carrot for the inside of the flower and celery for the stem and leaves.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR!!

How long do you have to soak the egg before cutting it?

I let the egg soak for about 5-10 minutes. I kept turning it so it would color evenly. Just leave it in until the desired color. It was great and didn’t even make the egg taste like a beet!! Not that my kids would have minded. We love beets around here!! 🙂
