Memorial Day is almost here, a day where we remember and celebrate our soldiers. Coming from a military family, I know firsthand the sacrifices our soldiers and servicemen and women make everyday. Our freedom comes with a price, and I am forever grateful to all of the brave soldiers who make our freedom a reality. There are many families who are left behind during deployment. My father deployed numerous times while I was growing up. I have other family members and many friends who have and are serving our country. Making your kids this fun snack will be a small reminder for them not to take our freedom and country for granted. It’s a lesson we should all learn and never forget.
