The only thing I wanted for Mother’s Day (or my Birthday) was an old fashioned air popper, popcorn maker. And, guess what? That’s exactly what I got!! I looked up some recipes and decided to come up with my own. This one may be a bit on the spicy side, but it’s OH. SO. DELICIOUS!!!
Sweet Curry Popcorn
Sweet meets salty, meets spicy, meets YUM!!
- 1/2 c. popcorn kernels
- 2-3 Tbs butter (Depending on how much butter you like on your popcorn!!)
- 1Tbs honey
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- 1-2 tsp sea salt
- Pop the popcorn kernels, either stove top in hot oil, or in a popcorn maker. While it's popping, melt butter, honey, and spices together in a sauce pan, or in the microwave, and stir. Drizzle half of the honey butter mixture over the popcorn. Stir popcorn to evenly coat. Drizzle the remainder of the honey butter mixture, and stir again. Serve warm.
- Don't forget the napkins. Also, serve with a beverage, because it may get spicy!!
