Book Monster

A truly random Nummie.
My friend said it looked like a book monster from Harry Potter.

~~~~
Hungry Book Monster
~ Bread ~ Pretzel Sticks ~ Marshmallows ~ Chocolate Chips ~
Take two pieces of bread and cut the top part off.  Make any kind of sandwich with the bottom half.  Take the two top pieces and fold them to look like circles for the eyes.  I put a little peanut butter in them to hold them together and then to hold it onto the sandwich.  Cut a mini marshmallow in half and then press and mini chocolate chip in for the eyes.  I put two reg chocolate chips together for the nose.  Broken pieces of pretzel sticks for the teeth.
Um, would he say “Rrraaaaarr” ?!?
It’s SO cute!!
Reindeer Cookie
Roll your cookie dough into small balls then squeeze the sides in and flatten. Press pretzel pieces into the dough for the antlers.  Bake as directed.  Let the cookies cool then press in two chocolate chips for the eyes and a red M&M for the nose.
You can use any kind of candy you wish.
Isn’t he just adorable?
{Thanks Alicia for this super cute Nummie!! }
Elf
“Smiling’s my favorite!!”
~~~~

ELF

~ Bread ~ Boiled Egg ~ Olive ~ Apple ~ Hot Dog ~
~ Lunch Meat ~ Marshmallows ~

Cut a triangle out of a piece of bread.
As shown:

Use a boiled egg and a halved olive for his eyes.  I cut some ham lunch meat into strips for the hair.  Spread some butter or whatever onto the ears to give them a neutral color. A chunk of a hot dog for his nose, but you can use what you want.  I used two small apple wedges for his mouth.  Miniature marshmallows added to the bottom and the top of the hat for fuzzy texture.

{ Elf is one of my fave movies.  If you haven’t seen it, get it. }

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Pancake

Christmas up your Saturday morning pancakes with this fun reindeer!

Rudolph

~ Pancakes ~ Marshmallow ~ Mini M&Ms~

Make pancakes, then use one as face (I chose one that was a little, ahem, overdone. It looked brown like a reindeer!) Cut antlers out of another pancake. You can either freehand-cut them, or use a cookie cutter. I used an oak leaf-shaped cookie cutter. You could use a flower cutter, and cut it in half, etc. Just use your imagination.

Cut a mini marshmallow in half for whites of eyes, and lay on pancake sticky side up. You can affix the marshmallows to the pancake with a dab of syrup if you want. Put brown mini M&Ms on marshmallows for pupils. Dab syrup on bottom of pancake and place red M&M for nose. Easy!

You could also substitute raisins and a craisin for the pupils and nose.

FEATURE FRIDAY: KOALA BISCUITS

The Sugar Fairy over at Cupcakes and All Things Sweet made these adorable biscuits.

Koala Biscuits

~ Cookie Dough ~ Popsicle Sticks ~ Embellishments ~

Make any cookie recipe you would like.  Paula used ginger cookies. Click HERE for her recipe.

Roll the dough into a large ball and two smaller balls and place as shown:

Push a popsicle stick into the large ball until  you can feel it on the other side.
Flatten the balls over the stick:

Bake as directed on your cookie recipe.

Let them cool then decorate.

Paula used mini m&m’s for eyes, oval jubes, sugarpaste flowers for the girls (a bit Hello Kitty don’t you think. *Hello Koala*??). Used royal icing to stick them down. You could use melted chocolate.

{ THANKS SUGAR FAIRY FOR THE GREAT NUMMIE!! }

Santa Pancake

Christmas up your Saturday morning pancakes with this Jolly Old Saint Nick Pancake!

Santa Pancake

~ Pancakes ~ Marshmallows ~ Mini M&Ms ~
~ Craisin ~ Cream Cheese ~ Jam ~

Make pancakes, then use one as face. Cut hat out of another pancake.

Cut a mini marshmallow in half for whites of eyes, and lay on pancake sticky side up. Affix the marshmallows to the pancake with a dab of syrup. Put brown mini M&Ms on marshmallows for pupils. Dab syrup and place red M&M for nose.

Cut mini marshmallow almost in half and spread out for mustache. Place craisin on pancake for lip, and put mustache over craisin.

Spread cream cheese around face for beard base. Place marshmallows on top of cream cheese (I tried this without the cream cheese, but it seemed like WAY too many marshmallows! Sugar overload!)

Spread jam on hat and place a row of marshmallows for brim of hat and pom-pom of hat.

Cold Season

My brother-in-law decided to make a nummie over the Thanksgiving holiday.

At least the little boys out there will appreciate this one!!!

COLD SEASON

~ Bread ~ Cheese ~ Marshmallows ~ Hershey Kisses ~
~ Honey Bun ~ Ritz Crackers ~ Food Coloring ~

Tear the crust off of a piece of bread.  Make a nose shape out of the bread and using peanut butter or somthing sticky, “glue” it to a plate.  Use a few drops of green food coloring in some miniature marshmallows to create the snot. Stuff the colored marshmallows into the nose. Use crackers for the base of the eyes with marshmallows and hershey kisses to complete them.  Shredded cheese for the hair and a honey bun for the ears.  Use the crust to create a mouth with halved marshmallows for teeth.

Can someone hand him a kleenex please?!?

{ Thanks Dusty for your creativity!! }
