Holiday Kids Snack: S’more Elf Hat

Now that it’s getting colder, my girls are all about s’mores and hot cocoa. So I came up with this festive kids snack as a way for them to have both without the sticky mess of roasting marshmallows (not to mention the dangers of everyone crowding around an open fire!) For the sheer delight of your little ones — and big ones — serve the elf hat croissants warm with a mug of hot cocoa. My hubby ate quite a few of these, too!

Fun Kids Lunch: Snowman Sandwich

Yippee! Winter’s almost here, and this snowman will bring some excitement to your kids lunch. I love snow—donning mittens, building a snowman, then coming inside for hot cocoa and a snack. We don’t have snow here in the south yet, so for now, my kids and I are contenting ourselves with this yummy snowman sandwich.

Holiday Kids Recipe: Reindeer Apple Snack

Grandma may not be too keen on them, but I wouldn’t mind being run over by these cute and healthy reindeer. They may not be able to fly, but as a delicious sweet-and-salty snack, they’re pretty fantastic! If your kids are like mine, they’ll love making this holiday recipe as an after-school snack — just have everything ready when they come home, and let them do all the work! (Try to name all of Santa’s reindeer while you’re making them.)

Holiday Food for Kids: Gunther the Reindeer Sandwich

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!!

All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call Rudolph names…
But I’m pretty sure that Gunther didn’t take part in it.
He is Rudolph’s cousin and has a red nose too!!

GUNTHER the REINDEER

~ Sandwich ~ Mini Marshmallow ~ Mini Chocolate Chips ~ M&M ~

EAT HIM QUICK BEFORE HE RUNS OVER GRANDMA!!

Great way to get your kidos to eat the dreaded crust.
Mine used to eat the crust until Great Grandma spoiled them. Boo.

Miriam does such an amazing job with stamping!!
She made these fun reindeer goodies and jazzed them up with the most adorable stamping!!

I haven’t tried stamping, but her foodie idea is so CUTE!!!!!

I JUST LOVE IT!!!!

REINDEER FUN

Wouldn’t that be a FUN gift??

MAGIC REINDEER FOOD

“Just Sprinkle on the lawn at night

The moon will make it sparkle bright

As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam

This treat will guide them to your home.”

~~~
RUDOLPH’S SPARES
“His nose will always light the way for Santa and his little sleigh
But if his nose should ever go out don’t cry or whine or yell or shout
Take out this bag and use a bit from Rudolph’s red nose repair kit.”
~~~

REINDEER POOP

“Santa checked his list not once but twice

and found you’ve been naughty and not very nice

Since coal is expensive, here’s the scoop

He’s filling your stocking with reindeer poop.”

WHAT FUN!!!

Christmas Kid Food: The Reason for the Season

“For unto us a child is born.”
Isaiah 9:6

Baby Jesus in a Manger

~ Hotdog ~ Cheese ~ Crescent Dough ~ Graham Cracker ~

Cut a hot dog in half and wrap strips of  crescent dough around it to create a baby blanket.  Bake as directed.  Break a gaham cracker in half for the manger. Use 2 pieces of another graham cracker for the base.  I used peanut butter to hold the graham crackers in place.  Shredded cheese for the hay. Place baby on top of manger when it’s cooled.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

{ My intent is to help illistrate the story of Christmas, not to offend. }
