QUOLL NUMMIE

Cut the body shape out of a slice of bread.  Use a piece of the crust for the tail. Cut pieces out for the ears. Spread peanut butter on the bread.  Chocolate chips for the spots, eyes and nose.  I used pieces of shredded cheese for the whiskers.

INTERESTING FACTS

1. A quoll is about the size of a cat and is also called the tiger cat.

2.  They are usually solitary (alone) nocturnal (night) animals.

3.  It’s the world’s second largest meat eating marsupial, the largest being Tasmanian Devil.

4.  They eat birds, rats, mice, rabbits, lizards, possums, frogs and insects. They kill their prey by biting it behind the head.

5.  When the babies are born, they are the size of a grain of rice and live in the mother’s pouch for 7 weeks.

{ How cute is this quoll baby?? }
