The Uakari is a small, endangered, bald-headed, monkey from South America.

UAKARI NUMMIE
Cut an apple in half and place half of it face down on a plate. I used the ends of black olives for the eyes and a sliver of an olive for his mouth. His nose is a small piece of apple peel. I used ham for the fur, but you could use whatever you have.
INTERESTING FACTS
1. They are small monkeys ranging from 4.4 - 22 inches and weigh about 11 lbs.
2. They live in large groups 15-30 monkeys, but have been reported to be in a group as large as 100.
3. They spend most of their lives in the trees because their preferred habitat is usually flooded.
4. They make very few sounds and mostly go unnoticed accept for their bright red faces.
