Slice a 1/4 of the hotdog to make it flat.  Cut the 1/4 piece in half.  Cut triangle pieces out of each of those strips for the legs.  Place them skin side down and feet out on the plate and place the hot dog on top.  I cut slivers off of the inside of the feet strips for the antennae.  You would use whatever you want though.

INTERESTING FACTS

1.  They have anywhere from 14 to 43 pairs of legs!

2.  They have ringed antennae at the top of their head with their eyes at the base of the antennae.

3.  Their mouth is surrounded by 6 finger like projections to help them eat.

4.  They secrete a slimy substance on their prey that hardens very quickly and paralyses the prey.  They also secrete digestive enzymes into their prey to help pre-digest it so that it’s easier to eat.

5.  Their heart is shapes like a tube but doesn’t pump oxygen.  They get their oxygen through pores in the skin.

{ They come in all sorts of colors too!! }
{ Orange, blue, pink, white, black… }
