{ I just LOVE him.  He is so fascinating to look at!! }

I used canned pears.  Use one half for the body and then cut and shape pieces for the claws and fillers for the rest of the crab.  Cover the arms with white cheese for the hair. Super easy to make and yummy!
{ There is a southern recipe that uses a half of a pear then stuff with mayo and cheese. }
{{ I personally can’t get past the mayo, but pears and cheese are delish together. }}

INTERESTING FACTS

1.  The Yeti Crab is named after the infamous Yeti, the abominable snowman of the Himalayas.

2.  They are blind and could possibly use their many hairs to help them find their way around.

3.  They live at depths around 7,500 ft and on the rocks of volcanos where the heat escapes from the rock and keeps them warm.

4.  Because they are on the volcano cracks, or vents, there is a lot of harmful toxic bacteria which they harvest and grow in their many hairs.  Scientists believe that this bacteria is used for food, or could be used as tiny censors that help them find food or to help them find a mate.

5.  They are such a new species, there is little known about them.
